The site is nearing completion, with the final concreting

At Livange, construction of the cut-and-cover tunnel is coming to an end.

As a reminder, the OA07 structure is located on the route of the new railway line between Bettembourg and Luxembourg, and will allow trains, particularly the TGV, to travel under the RN31.

On Saturday 25 May, our teams carried out the final concreting operations. Having previously built the two abutments, 9.5 m, and 10.3 m high, the aim this time was to create the deck. The deck is 21 m wide and 22 m long, covering an area of around 460 m2. Ranging in thickness from 1.2 to 1.6 m, it is made up of almost 590 m3 of concrete and 130 tonnes of steel.

Traffic has been diverted for more than a year and will return to normal before the summer holidays.

Upstream, on the grade separation side near Bettembourg, the ground has been reinforced with 1,360 rigid inclusions, a process that limits vibrations in an urban environment.

While work on the structure will be completed by the end of the year, work on Market 10 will be completed by the end of 2025.
