The elegant curves of Ettelbruck One
2024 comes to a successful end with the completion of the shell of Ettelbruck One. The 20,000 m2 of the new Nordstad administrative centre - developed by Landimmo Real Estate, a member of the Landewyck Group - was built in just 15 months.
Late October on the Ettelbruck One construction site. The fog is slowly lifting, revealing the imposing silhouette of the building being built by the joint venture between Félix Giorgetti and CDCL for Landimmo Real Estate, part of the Landewyck Group.
20,000 m2 in 15 months
With a surface area of 20,000 m2, the new Nordstad administrative center will bring together several of the country's public institutions and administrations, a medical centre, offices, shops and restaurants. Certified BREEAM Very Good, it consists of two buildings on a common trunk of five levels - two of which are underground - covering 5,000 m2. The first building is 31m high and has eight storeys, while the second has five storeys and a height of 21m.
This major project will have taken shape very quickly, as the structural work, which began in September 2023, is already nearing completion.
"It was a real challenge that required a great deal of organisation and just-in-time planning,’ says Nicolas Lalung, our site manager. We're proud to have kept to the schedule, and we'd like to congratulate our site staff, who showed great commitment despite the year's bad weather."
Meticulous expertise
On site, the cranes are completing the final formwork on the last level of the tallest building.
This involves creating curved beams and walls, one of the architectural features of Ettelbruck One.
At the same time, still with the aim of keeping to schedule, the installation of some 360 frames is continuing, while the 4,000 m2 of bricks are being meticulously laid on the façade. ‘We're also in the process of carrying out the external landscaping work and connecting the networks,’ adds our site manager.
So this exciting adventure in Ettelbruck will soon be drawing to a close on a positive note, and we're very proud to have played a part in its construction!
