Inauguration of the Rodange P+R
On Monday 17 April, CFL inaugurated the park and rail facility in Rodange. An infrastructure that will play an important role in the mobility of the south-west of the country.
The event took place in the presence of Marc Wengler, Director General of CFL, and François Bausch, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Mobility and Public Works.
Both stressed the importance of this new structure for mobility in the south-west of the country. "The new P+R in Rodange offers an unprecedented simplicity to change transport modes. An important element to encourage more people to take advantage of public transport", summarised Marc Wengler.
Two parking projects to be delivered
Almost three years of work were needed to build this car park with a total surface area of 41,000 m2 and a capacity of 1,600 spaces. The building has seven levels, three lifts and two spiral ramps.
The park and ride goes hand in hand with the modernisation works of the Mersch station, also carried out by Félix Giorgetti, in temporary association with Lux TP.
Our teams are also getting ready to deliver two other P+R in Luxembourg: a 400-space P+R in Mersch also for CFL and a 2,000-space P+R in Cloche d'Or for the City of Luxembourg.
