Inauguration of the Ban de Gasperich Park

The Parc Ban de Gasperich was officially inaugurated on 7 June by the City of Luxembourg during a big neighbourhood celebration.

Parc Ban de Gasperich has officially opened its doors! On Wednesday 7 June, thousands of visitors and local residents were invited to the inauguration of the capital's largest park.

The event took place in a festive atmosphere in the presence of Lydie Polfer, Mayor of the City of Luxembourg, the College of Aldermen and local personalities.

Covering more than 16.6 hectares, this haven of peace in the heart of the city includes a large children's play area, sports fields, a 7,000 m2 pond and recreational lawns.

A number of amenities and over 4 km of paths also allow walkers to stroll along the renatured Drosbach stream.

Three years after the first shovel was turned, a project that symbolises our commitment to the environment is coming to an end.

It's also a great teamwork, with our partners Julien Cajot and Kuhn Construction responsible respectively for laying the asphalt on the paths and building the refreshment area, which will open in spring 2024.

We are all very proud to have played a part in the construction of this magnificent project, which offers everyone a beautiful natural interlude while at the same time revitalising the new Cloche d'Or district.

We would like to thank all our teams for their hard work and the City of Luxembourg for its confidence!
